2007年の秋、小学館「和楽」誌上にて、きもの研究家『森田空美』先生のセレクション「森田好み」として、錫製の帯留めを限定数5個にて販売いたしました。

和楽発売初日で予定数をほぼ完売し、大変な反響を頂戴しました。森田先生は、「帯締めの藤結びにも似た幾何学的なデザインはすっきり帯におさまり、モダンな雰囲気を添えてくれそうで大変お気に入り」と評してくださいました。

Pewter Obi-dome

In the fall of 2007, we put out for sale 5 limited edition pewter obi-dome as the kimono scholar
Ms. Sorami Morita's "Morita favorite" selection in the Shogakukan publication "Waraku" magazine.

On the magazine's first day of release we almost sold out, which created a great sensation. Ms. Morita
commented, "It has a geometric design similar to the 'wisteria knot' used for obi-jime and fits well
with the obi. It feels like it will add modernness, and is definitely one of my favorites."



本体の大きさはおよそ3センチ×6センチ、錫製、桐箱にお納めしています。37,800円（税込み）。三分幅の紐に合わせてお作りしています。國本理依子作。

The size of the piece is approximately 3cm×6cm, made of pewter, and comes with a box made of paulownia
wood. 37,800Yen（Tax included). It is made according to an obi-jime that is about 1cm wide.

私共で製作をしている「根付」は、本来「提物」通称「ぶら」とよばれる女性向けの装身具の一種です。古来、どちらかというと「根付」の指すものは、男性用の装身具が多かったようです。

写真は、当工房でも珍しい部類に入ります、男性向けの根付。能面「翁」からモチーフを得ています。本体部分は銀製（銀95％、銅４％）で、表面にはいぶし（古美）を人工的につけています。

本体約４センチ×２センチ。銀は比重が重く、ズシリとした質感です。この重い銀を用いて大きなものは作れませんが、見た目の存在感は大きいと思います。（税込み：１５，１２５円、正絹紐付き、桐箱入り）

Netsuke for men "Okina" ("Old Man")

The "netsuke"(miniature sculptures) that we make are actually a type of accessory geared toward women
called "Sage-mono"(hanging object), commonly known as "bura." In olden times, however, it seems that
things referred to as "netsuke" were mostly men’s accessories.

What is shown in this photograph is a netsuke for men, an unusual piece even for our studio. We used the
Noh mask "Okina" as a motif. It is made of sterling silver (95％ silver、4％ copper), and is oxidized
on the surface.

It is about 4cm×2cm. Silver has some weight, and it does feel heavy when holding it. We cannot make
anything too big using this weighty silver, but I feel that it has a large presence visually.

大切なものの目印に「銀製 根付」
Various kinds of "Netsuke" in silver

江戸期に繁栄した町民文化に育まれ、金属製の様々な装身具が流行しました。写真の根付は本来「提げ物」（通称、ぶら）と呼ばれた、帯のワンポイントを飾る女性用の装身具でした。

このような小さな目印を総称して「根付」と呼ぶことが多いのですが、これは日本独自の文化のようです。例えば、携帯電話にケータイストラップをつけるのは、ほぼ日本人だけの模様です。

風景からモチーフとしたものや、めでたいしるしなど、各種の提げ物を製作しています。

For accessorizing personal belongings: "Silver Netsuke"

Fostered by the townspeople's culture that flourished during the Edo period, all sorts of metal accessories
became popular. The netsuke in this photograph used to be an obi accessory for women, called "Sage-mono"
(hanging object), commonly known as "bura."

Accessories such as this one are often referred to in the general term "netsuke," but it seems that
this culture is unique to Japan. For example, attaching a cell phone strap to one's phone is something that
is only habitual among Japanese people.

We make "sage-mono" in many designs, such as landscapes, things based on motifs, and auspicious symbols.
